Why Walk?
Because people are dying every day. Because without your participation and support the world can simply ignore this crisis. Because we must not stand idly by – we must act, and we must act together. Because when we walk as a community we demonstrate the strength of our numbers and our commitment to ending genocide.
This year we are more determined than ever to realizing our goals of ending the genocide in Darfur and raising awareness of other human rights abuses around the world. The Walk for Darfur raises both awareness and the support that is vital to making efforts to end genocide a reality. Engaging others in the Walk, either as a part of your team or as a sponsor makes both these goals possible.
